The goal of the research project is to upgrade CFD Suite and go far beyond single CFD solver (simulation) acceleration. If simulations do not meet certain criteria, such as a mesh under 5M cells, we can utilize CFD Suite to optimize the overall process rather than solely focusing on reducing time to results for individual simulations. For example, we can train CFD Suite to identify the best configuration and/or reduce the number of simulations needed to find it. With this approach, limitations such as <5M cells no longer apply, allowing us to work with any simulation. You can find more information at the bottom of this page: CFD Suite.

As byteLAKE’s technology has advanced, we are excited to extend an exclusive invitation to test our product to a select group of partners across various industries. Join us in a collaborative venture where byteLAKE will create comprehensive case studies showcasing how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can supercharge your Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. Our primary focus industries include:

For our chosen partners, byteLAKE is committed to delivering the following valuable benefits:

  1. Simulation Generation: We will generate the necessary simulations required for AI model training within CFD Suite.
  2. AI Training and Calibration: Our team will expertly handle AI model training and fine-tuning within CFD Suite.
  3. Performance Benchmarking: We will conduct a rigorous benchmarking process, highlighting the performance enhancements, accelerated CFD simulations, and accuracy analyses. These results will be presented in a comprehensive report.
  4. Consultation: byteLAKE offers a consultation opportunity to discuss the findings and explore potential actions.
  5. CFD Suite Trial Access: Enjoy a trial period with CFD Suite, along with exclusive discounts on licenses and byteLAKE’s services.

What’s Required to Apply?

  • Select a CFD simulation that you would like byteLAKE to accelerate using AI.
  • Clearly articulate why this simulation is significant for your organization.
  • Allocate time for byteLAKE to understand the simulation, data, and expected outcomes (approximately 2 hours of discussion, with follow-up via email and possible additional calls).
  • Provide input data necessary for the simulation, including information on how various parameters typically change to generate simulation variants. Typically, we require 30–140 such variants.
  • After the project’s completion, offer feedback to byteLAKE and suggestions for further enhancing CFD Suite.

CFD Simulation Requirements

  • Simulations that are frequently executed within your organization.
  • At this stage, we are focusing on small to medium-sized simulations, such as object simulations, specific physical phenomena, partial components (e.g., a portion of a pump, an injection system), or any other scenarios like droplets splashing on windows.
  • OpenFOAM simulations are preferred, but we are open to considering other open-source software. Alternatively, we can explore running the project using software and licenses provided by selected partners.
  • Please note that the project cannot be confidential, as byteLAKE intends to use the produced case study as a reference.

Application Process

  • Our recruitment process has already commenced, with the first selection phase expected to conclude by the end of 2023.
  • Further evaluations of applying partners will occur at the end of Q1 2024 and Q2 2024.
  • Case studies will be developed throughout 2024, initially focusing on simpler simulations and progressively exploring more advanced scenarios from 2024 to 2026.
